What kind of people attend Macomb Assembly?
Macomb Assembly is home to people of all ages, from all walks of life. God’s plan is for each church to be a widely varied group of people who love, support, and help each other through life. We believe God wants us to help each other grow to love Him more, love and support each other, and share the hope He’s given us with people all over the world. No matter who you are or where you’ve been in life, there’s a place for you here at Macomb Assembly!
What will a service be like?
Our Sunday morning worship services (10am) are compelling times of worship and teaching from God’s Word that usually last about an hour and a half. Our worship style is a blend of old and new. If you’ve been around church, you’ll probably recognize some old favorites as well as enjoy currently popular worship songs. If you’ve never been to church, we think you’ll still enjoy the music, and it won’t be long until you find yourself hearing songs played in church in your head during the week! Whether you recognize the songs or not, our goal is to have a worship service that is inspiring and helps you connect with God. There is also a time of teaching from God’s word. The Bible is a unique book, both timeless and relevant. Our goal is for our messages to inspire, motivate, and challenge you to experience a deeper understanding of who God is, and develop a close relationship with Him.

What about my kids?
We love kids! Nurseries for infants and toddlers, and Kids Club for kids through 5th grade are offered during Sunday Morning Worship. Your kids will experience a fun and interactive service that is specifically designed to help them learn to know God. All helpers in our kids areas are trained, screened and have passed a background check, but most of all, they enjoy kids and are committed to keeping your kids safe, and helping them have fun and learn about God.
What about teens?
Macomb Assembly Student Ministries seeks to help students grow in their faith by engaging them with thought provoking teaching and discussion that will point them towards Jesus. Our mission here is not simply to entertain the students, but rather is to come alongside parents to help raise the next generation for Christ.
What should I wear?
God doesn’t care whether you’re formal or casual; after all, He looks at the heart. We’re not going to stress out about what you wear, and we don’t want you to either. Be comfortable, be yourself. If that’s a suit and tie, great! If it’s jeans and a T-shirt, great! We (and God) want to get to know the real you, no need to perform or pretend with us.
Will I be singled out, asked to give money, or asked to do anything weird if I visit?
No. We are friendly, so others may greet you and introduce themselves, but you won’t be asked to stand, come forward, or in any way publicly identify yourself as a guest. We do receive an offering during our service, but guests are never asked to give. We want you to be comfortable and enjoy your experience here. We do encourage you to fill out an information card, but you can choose not to if you prefer. We will never spam you, sell or distribute your information. We will send you a letter after you visit for the first time, and we may send some information about our church, but we respect and value your privacy the same as our own.
